Today we bring you the elegant home called the H-House. This beautiful home is designed by Widjedal Racki Bergerhoff Architects. It’s a project completed back in 2006; it’s a private residence in the archipelago of Stockholm located on a breathtaking site overlooking the ocean. Just like in many of their designs, a big emphasis was put on investigating the border between outside and inside, nature and building. The key materials used are: water, concrete, oiled wenge, rusty steel and untreated pine wood. The H-shape of the house helps designing wind protected as well as intimate courtyards which prolong the summer season and provide wonderful natural lightning to the home. This is a truly elegant home. The combination of elements and the dark materials contrasting with neutral decoration elements design a truly great and comfortable ambience. The home is elegant without being intimidating; it really invites you in.
